Migration for work is an important livelihood strategy for many families. However, migrant workers often face challenges such as insecure employment, low wages, unsafe working conditions, lack of documentation, and limited access to social security and government services. Government estimates have indicated around 6 lakh migrant workers in Telangana, with a significant proportion engaged in construction and infrastructure-related work.

AASHRAY supports migrant workers, labourers and vulnerable families through safe migration awareness, community outreach, documentation and entitlement facilitation, legal and grievance support, and access to essential services. AASHRAY works to promote safer, dignified and more secure lives for workers and their families.
