Child Care & Protection

As part of its Child Care and Protection thematic area, AASHRAY strengthens Child Protection Committees (CPCs) in slums and marginalised communities to prevent child abuse, neglect, exploitation and other forms of child rights violations. AASHRAY works with community members to build awareness, strengthen local protection mechanisms, identify risks early, and promote safe and protective environments for children.

Key activities include:

• Interaction and regular engagement with individual CPC members
• Orientation and capacity building on the role of CPCs in preventing child abuse and protection violations
• Provision and distribution of IEC materials on child care, protection and safety
